While waiting on my first mech mods and RBAs, and parts for first mod building attempts to arrive from fast tech, I been getting a bit of diy anxiety. For some reason, I want to build an entire hybrid like mod, atty and all. I've gotten feedback on ECF that it's stupid because attys are cheap, but whatever. I like to tinker.
Anyway, I spotted some steel wool in the lab, cut a small piece and "torched it" with my lighter. Glow! Took a big coiled piece and put a small bolt on each end and put my cheap multimeter to it. Had a resistance much higher than a ecig coil. Briefly put those bolts to a common 9v battery and the "coil" lit right up! Stupid mad science fun!
So I ended that experiment knowing that if kanthal is ever banned, further testing might be done....
Yes, you really did waste your time reading this.
However, this "test" does make me think I'm on the right path with my future wooded hybrid.
