Hi guys.

I usually do bog standard microcoils, usually .4 or .5 kanthal around 2.5mm or 3mm bit, 7 or 8 wraps, heat n squeeze, lovely jubbly.

Is there any point giving claptons a go or even twisting?

I'm only interested in flavour by the way, don't wish to block out the tv with a weather front!

I mean, all we're doing is vaporising e liquid with a hot coil of wire, can the shape or profile of the wire actually do anything to give a more flavourfull vape or is it just all tosh?

My own view & just for my own ends, i go standard & just want a consistent trusted vape to enjoy. Last night i even wrapped a standard silca/kanthal coil in my cyclone & it made a nice vape day today.
It must depend on what anyone is trying to achieve.:)

Give it a go and find out....

I like a boring coil with a boring wick in a boring dripper on a boring mech.
It is just nicotine addiction how exciting can it be.

Just muck about and find out what you are comfortable with then have fun and experiment a bit. Nothing wrong with trying something kinky now and then.

Only danger is that you end up being comfortable with something kinky and then you get an atty that won't cooperate because it "doesn't have enough holes for what you're suggesting" or "that will never fit in there"..

Actually I think I'll stop there.. not sure where this post is going.

My favourite coil is a single 0.4 Kanthal 8/9 wraps around 3mm and wicked with cotton.

1.27ohm of bliss.

I am so boring I have stopped buying vaping stuff so I will stick with my existing boring stuff.
Anyway the subtank has too many bits.

Does it ? I wouldn't know, i'm not interesting enough.....O.K i'll stop now before i commit thread derailment, sorry op.

Well you could buy a VCR back when you could buy them and just watch videos on it that you could rent from Blockbuster, when there were Blockbusters; and it would do that perfectly, and that would keep some people happy for years. If you looked into it further, read the instructions, spoke to other people you'd discover that blank cassettes were a thing and there was a way of setting the device to actually record television programmes when you weren't even personally there; and you could watch them at different times at your convenience. This opened up a new range of possibilities. Some people even discovered that video recording cameras were available. These bulky devices enabled the owner to record their own video movies, even send them to friends in different parts of the county using the postal system. The world of the VCR expanded for these folk who had investigated the possibilities and enriched their experience of both the humble VCR and even their own creative lives.

Of course, these devices are obsolete now and without them we are missing out somewhat, I feel.
