What's new

Boris Johnson says a second wave has arived!

it’s not surprising. you might be missing the underlying humour in the discussion.

but they did promise us a world class test and track and trace system, that it was safe to open schools, pubs, restaurants and all the rest of it. their handling of the crisis has been a litany of errors and corrupt incompetence a o you can surely see why people are tired of johnson and his government of cretins.

Everything is fine, it's just a wee hiccup. It's still a world beating system we have in place, everything is great.

Moonshot will save us. £100bn on technology that doesn't exist yet and being able to process millions of tests a day when we can't manage way less already. What could go wrong??

That's the blue sky thinking we need. This doesn't at all feel like working for a company just about to go in to administration and being called in to meetings to be told everything is going to be fine.... it's definitely going to be fine.

With hands, face, space and the rule of 6 what could possibly go wrong.

and most importantly, a great way to move more money upstairs.

Boris gets more like a second hand car dealer all the time and track and trace and moonshot and all his claims feels like he's trying to sell me an Austin Allegro by claiming it will go 700mph.
Of course though it's not their fault they can't do all the tests it's our for wanting to be tested.

i’m wondering who “they” are because it’s not something i’ve heard. maybe i missed it.

They seem to be saying something else here.... (Aug 16th)

"Scientists who have been monitoring immune responses to the virus are now starting to see encouraging signs of strong, lasting immunity"

"Although researchers cannot forecast how long these immune responses will last, many experts consider the data a welcome indication that the body’s most studious cells are doing their job — and will have a good chance of fending off the coronavirus, faster and more fervently than before, if exposed to it again."
