I bought one from Vaper Caper as it was interesting, and I wanted to know more about it.
This'll be a small-ish overview.
Its fiddly, and I wont take it to the pub, or even out the house. Too many things can turn and disrupt it, BUT BUT, when set up it f*kin rocks.
First things: there is no manual, or instructions, or clue...you have to stare it down and get inside its head. Only then do you move to the path of enlightenment.
Take it all apart, go to the hot water, clean clean clean, you want the threads to be lush..
The little bowl part can unscrew (now immediately forget about that)
How it works: the 510 extension should not be tight to the device...the juice enters through the gap between device and 510 extension. Go have a good look at those threads and you will see two small holes, and most likely, some white rubber behind the holes, obstructing the juice flow...get a pin and stick it through the holes and tease it around...it is an insulating grommet which is pushed too far up, and spoils the party..move it so that the two small holes are nicely open.
OK, assemble as follows:
take the two bowl halves and screw them tight together, real tight. Use some rubber gloves to get a good grip. We dont want these bits coming apart, at least, not until we rebuild, at which point we can use our rubber again:-)
Play with your tank top and bottom pieces, and decide which one is looser fitting to the tank....the looser one will be your BOTTOM cap.
Screw the 510 extension to the device, make sure it goes on smoothly, fiddle a bit until the threads are happy happy...finger tighten it all the way, get a permanent marker and draw a line so that it goes over the 510 and the device, maybe 3mm...just something we can refer to as a gauge later on.
get a 510-->ego adapter (you have one, right? right?). its lying behind your desk...go find it.
screw the 510 extension to the 510 adapter, tight. We dont want these coming apart either.
AT this point, you should have your terminator all screwed tight (top and bottom bowl)....your 510-->ego adapter and 510 extension screwed tight, and your tank+caps, with the looser one being the bottom.
3 sub-assemblies.
Put terminator into tank, only with top cap on...screw ego/510 bit to your battery...tight is ok, but it is not needed to be "damn tight", just tight.
now we only have two sub assemblies...battery+510 bits, and terminator half in tank.
put bottom cap of tank onto 510 bits. push it all the way down, over the ego adapter
Take terminator (half into tank), and screw it onto your "battery" part.
as you go along, the lines you made with the permanent marker should line up if you go all the way....this indicates the closed/tight position. No need to get it there, just maybe 1/4 turn away.
turn the whole thing upside down.
fill your tank.
slide the tank UP (up is up because we are upside down, so that is towards the battery) until the bottom cap gets pushed into place...then slide the tank down (we are still upside down, so that is towards the drip tip) until the tank pushes against the bulb.
Ok, you are assembled and juiced up. Lets use this thing.
When we assembled, we put the looser tank cap on the lower half, so grabbing the tank and turning it should now do as follows: rotate the connection between bulb and 510 extension, our lines we made should move...this tell us how much flow we are dialling in...without the lines it is a bit more difficult. If you want to get creative, make more lines...if your lines dont move, try turning it via drip tip, and it that still doesnt help, use the actual exposed cart to turn it....everything should not turn, except the connection between terminator and your 510 extension that was supplied with terminator (and the tank will spin in a circle, thats cool too)
nothing else should move...no other screw threads should loosen or tighten....dial it into till it vapes like a champ.
To fill.
Take off drip tip, stuff some tissue paper into the tube...you are going to get 5 or so drops coming out when you turn it upside down, and the tissue paper stops this going onto your lovely carpet (ask me how i know this)
Turn it upside down.
Pull the tank DOWN...the bottom cap (which is now at the top) will come off (why did we use an ego adapter earlier? if you had a 6ml tank, this bit wouldnt work right, and it helps us to not stuff up our battery when tightening)
OK, tank bottom cap is off, insert bottle and squeeze...juicy lucy time:-)
Slide tank UP, and the bottom cap gets pushed against the ego adapter, no air problems (pressure) and you hear a nice "pop":-)...slide tank back into place, remove tissue, put back drip tip.
See, it is SIMPLE I tell ya!
