Worth remembering that immediately after the war decisions in Germany (including those on suspected war criminals) were made jointly under the Allied Control Council. It wasn't until late 1946 that any of the four Allied powers were able to make their own decisions. Up until then ........... all are equally cuplable for any decisions made?

I'm not interested in some hypothetical yardstick by which one 'measures' the guilt of this party W.R.T. the guilt of another. That's the so-called 'jeffrey dahmer defense'.

Re. Nuremberg, when Germany was charged with imperialism, Goreng (allegedly of course) quipped: "accused of imperialism by the British? That's rich!" :alien::alien:

............... and it's not a hypothetical yardstick, it's just a fact that all decisions were made jointly up until a certain point?

documentary on the Black Dolphin Prison in Russia its a hellhole for sure

Yup, seen the same documentary before mate, plus another couple of Russian prison camps, and a Bulgarian one.
Pretty extreme stuff.
Mind you, I doubt they have as much of a problem as the UK does with re offending after release....................

That 'works' if you believe extremely harsh prison conditions deter prisoners from re-offending on release. I don't. I believe that educating prisoners for rehabilitation is the key.

Treating them like animals is likely to TURN them into animals.

If that doc is the same as what I watched some time ago, these Russian prisoners are beyond rehabilitation and 'life means lifers'...
