Agreed with the comments regarding breathing through your atty, even try it without firing to get your technique down.

I find anything with huge airflow is hard to do anythig except lung inhale, orchid, mutant X both have to much airflow for a decent mouth to lung, hard deep breath like you're clearing a bong and jobs a good en

My tip would be to not think about breathing into your lungs, but breathing down into your core, use the diaphragm to push your tummy out, then fill the upper lungs.
If you're expanding your chest early your won't reach max volume. Down and then up.
I love a bit of down and up.
