What's new

Bristol City Council

This is great news, it is about time that something like this happened.
But..
I have a bit of a problem with this quote:

I'd like to see the source of these statistics, just doesn't click right in my head. Maybe someone can explain this to me?

Edit: On a side note, the whole "95% safer" (i don't mean this in a negative way) thing has really taken off and i even see a lot of sources in my home country quoting the PHE. It seems to me that things are starting to kinda take off, as in, chances of changing the public mind are getting better.

This "stat bite" has been taken out of context. I believe it relates to data that dispelled the fear of vaping leading to cigarette smoking among the young. The same type of hysterical fear that cannabis leads to heroin.
See page 86 in the PHE report which concludes "findings strongly suggest that EC use is not encouraging uptake of cigarette smoking" [among youth].

I lived in Bristol for a while, and the council there generally seemed to be a sensible bunch. Fair play to 'em.

Wow-I really did not expect that. I wish more newspapers would take note and do something like this.

I especially liked the myths debunked at the end, and about fire and explosion. Don't use cheap, dangerous stuff! We could be talking life or death, is a saving of a score worth yours, and even your families lives?
