burnt and stings

I took delivery of a eGoT starter kit today and was very keen to try it, followed instruction on filling avoiding central hole (knew this due to carto user) thn left it to sit for an hour to wick in properly, after the 1st initial draw which was full of flavor full of vaper every pull now tastes absolutely horrid just like an empty burnt in carto and stings the nose if blown out that way.

Whats gone wrong, am very annoyed about it atm as this was on high reccomendations.

There is also a "popping noise when the battery is on, there isnt any visible leak on the clearomiser, there is no signs of fluid on the battery either, no browning. any suggestions welcome.

Try keep tilting it to feed the wick and coil

tried that and made it alot worse, i have now drained the clearo back into the bottle, there was indeed a small leak as the rubber seal at the bottom was broken which to me would suggest enough for a slow leak but would that give the burn? btw its a pg/vg mix i think its around 80/20 maybe 70/30 pg/vg and the coil is a top burn, i undertsand these can be problematic.

Suggestions for a replacement clearo? obviously you pay for what you get in this trade

The evod is a great clero and the coil is at the bottom, so no dry hits or burning

A friend of mine had some little Ego-T's and I have to say they are bloody awful.

For a tiny battery they produce quite a good amount of vapour, but as you've mentioned, almost every draw was burnt with virtually no flavour. No matter what we tried after looking up various sources of help online, they never worked very well at all.

The only place they'll be producing any vapour now is by a rodent in a far away landfill lol .

Lol wolf, atm as a newbie to this i am going to order (have now ordered) a kanger evod bcc i will stick that on top of the battery and see how it goes, if its still terrible i have my trusty jacvapor vip to keep me going til a better battery turns up, this was all suppose ot be a cheap " it will do" purchase until jacvapor got their act together and can supply a vgo2 vv kit again

I have used Ego-T and Ego-C, I think they are among the best for taste. The problem is the tiny wick burns out in a few days. The Ego-T has to be just scrapped. With Ego-C, you can replace the coil, so works out cheaper but that also has a short life compared to clearos like CE4 and CE5.
There is a video on youtube, showing how to replace the wick on Ego-T. I have tried it and found that it is not worh the trouble..

I use Kanger MT3's as my main "at home" kit at the moment, with some CE5's for out and about. Kanger produce some decent kit and by all accounts the Evods are very good as well. If you get on well with them, you might be better off ordering some more and some spare heads. Then, simply order some decent batteries separately as per your requirements to customise your kit to your budget and needs. Some of the kits are very good, but now you have a bit more experience and knowledge, why wait for specific kits to come in stock?

The thing with jacs is they use the kr808 thread, which by all accounts is rapidly becoming the hd-dvd version in the vaping world, but they also have some of the best reviews for quality of product and vaper i have seen, in fact i cant find anyone with a bad word to say about them especially when you mention the vgo, i cant fault the vip pcc kit i started out with and their customer service is just absolutely top notch so maybe i just feel a fraction of loyalty to them, i dont know. With that said now i have started down the ego route due to their items being terribly out of stock if this new kanger evod bcc is as good as i am informed it is, there is a good chance i will stick with the ego/kanger route and expand my journey into the more advanced kits gradually
