capella amaretto concentrate, colourless and very harsh chemical smell, is this right

new order arrived today from chefs vapers, the amaretto was clear/colourless and very thin, opened the bottle and very strong harsh chemical smell, used my normal mixing method, 5ml of distilled water then 5ml of the concentrate, as soon the two mixed together the solution went cloudy white and started to have tiny fizz bubbles, never known this before. Finished the mix and bottled it but still stinks of chemicals and dare not vape it, have contact chefs vapers and waiting to hear back. distilled water is the same i used to mix up the rest of my order, classiKool, never used the amaretto one before.

Can't help with the question, but will ask why you mix your concentrates half/half with distilled water?

KUDOS why are you mixing with water? Just dilutes down the flavouring... if the flavour went cloudy and fizzed that sounds like a chemical reaction with the water... so no I wouldn't vape it myself. .. might be fine... after all steeping and vaping also produce some chemical reaction .. it might be due to a different contaminant such as dirt on mixing equipment rather than the water and flavouring combining. . Have had some amaretto juice before (dr smoke hideous stuff) that had a harsh chemical smell and flavour. . Was just disgusting. . Gave it away to someone else who vaped it... no sense of smell/taste as had just switched from smoking heavily. .. some flavouring just is chemically/perfumey and personally I don't like that.. it may be that mixing as usual but using lower concentration of the flavouring works for it or that steeping or adding ethyl maltol or various additives that round flavours off make it palatable or even nice.. I just don't want to mix something that creates that much faff though. .. far too lazy

cheers for replies, use the water because i try to use as less pg as possible so it just helps thin the vg, juice was fine in the end and nice taste, chefs vapers was very good and got back quickly to assure me everything was as it should be, 10% flavouring, 10% distilled water and 80% vg was ideal for me
