Cheap 72mg nic post TPD

The point im making is...its neither legal nor illegal.
The law states its illegal yes...but applying that law to someone who isnt governed by our law makes the illegality void...
Tpd restricts the seller, not the buyer, im not in the 'wrong' for been able to buy it, the seller is in the 'wrong'...but only in the eyes of EU law. Its like saying...im currently breaking thai law by vaping in public or w/e in england...is it not? Lol

Right, but while it’s not illegal for you to buy it, specifically, it is illegal for it to be sold to you. That doesn’t matter where the seller is. They can’t punish the seller for sending it to you, but if they find it they’ll either impound it or return it to the seller. Which is why they are asking shipping companies to send notices like the one above.

It's illegal at the point it hits the lovely ringfence we have from the world called the border.

Up to the border you can buy pretty much anything your heart desires, once it gets to the border its bound by the local law and thus in cases like this becomes illegal.

Trying to justify it in numerous ways don't change that, it just is.

Im not entirely sure that's their procedure, particularly as they are trying to crack down on tobacco products they found to have dubious and unsafe (moreso than normal tobacco) contents.

Customs are responsible not only for duties but also stopping unsafe contraband being passed through the border.

Well I mention Double Heaven earlier, quality cigarettes they are :)

But the transaction has already taken place, the product is already mine, so theyre impounding MY 72mg liquid? I mean how is it different from say...living in america...moving back to uk with all your possesions being shipped..along with the 72mg nicotine which is legal to own...do they still confiscate?

Btw i do apologise for being awkward, but its good to challenge this and see how it is flawed.

Funny, its only FedEx that seem to be doing this..................

@JesusFoggingChrist I think you are just not understanding this. You can’t just buy things from overseas that are illegal here, and try to make the argument that because you paid for it and now own it, that customs can’t impound it. of course they can. On the basis it was illegal for it to be sold to you, who is in the uk, in the first place.

Yes, they are impounding YOUR paid for product because you had no right to try and get it passed customs with it being illegal to do so.

Sure you will get products passed because they are stretched thinly already but my whole basis of advice on this thread was that although it can get through it may well not.

Also on the subject of buying nic from the USA and China, they often label it as VG to try and bypass checks at customs. That helps things sneak through but it doesn't make it more legal to buy.

Exactly, and following several other issues with FedEx earlier this year one of my primary decisions over which supplier to use is simple, if they use FedEx, I don't do business with them !!!
Which is fine if your not after a specific product

But 72mg IS NOT illegal! Its just illegal to sell. Its not illegal to own or buy for that matter
