Surrey, alongside the majority of the country, was placed under Tier 2 restrictions from Wednesday, December 2.
The whole county is under the same tier, with pubs and bars told drinks can only be served alongside substantial meals.
When the restrictions were announced, Prime Minister Boris Johnson promised that the Tiers would be reviewed regularly to reflect the developing situation.
Figures released on Monday suggested infection rates are on the rise in Runnymede, which recorded one of the biggest week-on-week jumps in England.
Its infection rate went from 155.4 to 285.2, with 255 new cases in the seven days to December 4
The tiers will be reviewed on December 16, a week from today, giving local authorities just days to make their case for changing Tiers.
All of Surrey is currently in Tier 2, but this could change when the tiers are reviewed next week.
The review will consider the opinions of local public health directors, with a final decision on whether any changes will take place being made at a Cabinet committee.
Areas which are approved for Tier changes will see the change come into effect on December 19.
The exact time of the announcement hasn't yet been confirmed, but further details are expected closer to the day
The next Tier review is on December 16, coming into effect on December 19, but this will largely be overshadowed by the nationwide Christmas loosening just four days later (December 23).
