Hello all

Quick question for everyone.

What are the diferences in ss mesh between the 300 and 400 I was given with my cobra? I have looked on google but it seems it moves onto talking about other 'grades' when I just want to start from the basic lol

I have used all my 300 mesh being a noob trying to get it to run without hot spots and all coild firing up but to no avail yet moved onto the 400 using the same oxidising process as before but this time with sucsess!

Any imput would be grand :)

Dunno what the difference is, other than the gap between the holes. But I've always used 400 in my Aga and it seems to be fine. But then, I could be missing out and 300 could be the best thing in vaping since a Chinee guy woke up one day in the '60's with an idea.

holes per inched Squared that's what the difference is, but in vaping terms its all to do with the wicking action i use a 50-50 ration e-liquid & find #400 works best with that set up, but it wont work as well with a heavy VG E-liquid because it is more viscous.

The difference being that different geades of mesh are better when there there is a higher content of VG in your juice. e.g.

500 to 400 mesh is good wicking from pure PG down to about 60PG and 40VG.

Then after this the juice gets thicker considerably requiring a bigger mesh weave to get the best capillary action.

300 to 200 is good from 50PG and 50VG all the way up to prob 80% plus VG again the bigger weave allows the thicker VG to wick properly.
