I think I put it off longer because I was scared of what I was going to see! Normally the longest I'll leave a kayfun wick is 2/3 days ... don't think I'll be using one for a week any time soon!

I use a lot of toffee based juices & find I have to change the wick with every refill. I run it down to empty anyway as I always want a new flavour. The wick is usually black

I vape matchstix from 8bitvape and it does the same thing, complete coil destroyer. Gotta rewick with every tank!

I no longer use my gennies,but I recall vaping a DIY licorice that required the stainless mesh wick removing & cooked on the gas hob to loosen the "coke" that was blocking the wick so much no juice would flow,after just 1ml

Frequently had to cook the wick/coil just to get the bloody wire freed from the mesh.I tried mesh/cotton/silica,hotter & hotter coils(though was restricted by the 1.2 ohms on the Vamo)yet nothing slowed the coking of the coil/wick.

I tried it in an RDA,the coke appeared after the first few drips had been vaped and welded the coil to the wick so well that it destroyed the 0.3mm wire getting them to separate. I haven't renewed the licorice concentrate in about 6 months as a result
