Coils Coils and Coils

Ok so has some of you know I’ve been vaping for about a year now. I started building coils around 4 months ago. I just wondering what words of wisdom people have and how they are doing out there. I’ve added a few pics of some coils I have made up and that work really well. Everything is self learned or I have asked friends and friends of friends. All comments and likes appreciated

What have you been working with? Wire wise, any personal favourites? Do you have a favourite build yet, I'm just working on fused Claptons right now getting there slowly.

Lol, I'm going to try alien, then stapled, even a tiger wire, I've found a few websites which list different coil builds, there are way more than I thought

I mainly use 316L stainless steel but have KA1 and N80 etc etc. Love exparementing, as long as you test them first everything’s cool.

If you need some help ask away my friend I’ll pass on what I have learned.

I started with round wire and 5/6 wraps then tried a bit of rectangle wire then moved to flat and off I went.

Thanks bud, I appreciate the reply, I have some flat wire, which I liked made some nice coils from it, but never even heard of rectangle, so i will try that next, are you using a jig to wrap your wires, I. E tiger wire wraps, electric drill one end, and something that spins the other end? Making your own Claptons? Fused Claptons etc. I like stainless and I have some 316 its much easier to work with but I have some stock ni 80 and a whole load of kanthal so i think I will work on that for now. Do you have a preference for where you get your wire from?

I do admire the skill and sheer work that goes into those lovely builds but I still find plain old flat nichrome hard to beat for vape quality.
Keep it up though guy's. Absolutely beautiful to look at.

Thanks for that, ive never tried flat nichrome before so I will definitely try that, I have a lot of time on my hands and being an engineer by trade and having worked on some really small projects (model building, rc cars) I'm my time, I found that coil building was a perfect outlet for me too keep busy. But the fact that someone appreciates the effort means a lot, cheers bud.
