Hi,
I'm finding that with both my Nautilus X and T20s tank, the coils seem to develop a burnt taste rather quickly - maybe lasting a few days on average. Some seem to keep going a bit longer, but some less. Not sure if this is normal or user error...
I don't get through a lot of juice (maybe 2 to 4 ml a day), but sometimes I'll chain vape a bit and maybe this is what's killing the coils? As I understand if you take too many hits in a row, the cotton doesn't have time to re-saturate and you end up burning it. But what exactly is too many hits in a row, and how long exactly should you leave in between hits to be safe? Online guides I've seen are very vague here... I've been trying to leave say 10s between hits, or if I take 2 or 3 good hits in quick succession then leave for at least a minute. But still I feel like they're going bad a lot quicker than other users report.
I've also wondered if I'm just being overly sensitive to the burnt taste, or imagining it - but any time I've tried to keep a coil going longer than the first hint of burnt flavour I always regret it - it just gets worse quickly - also seems to irritate the lungs once it gets to this stage, so I figure I'm probably right to change coils at first hint of burnt flavour.
But it is normal to have them go bad so quickly? Or is there anything I can do to prevent it?
btw I'm vaping 6mg - on the nautilus X almost exclusively Red Astaire flavour.
Thanks!
