Hi everyone I'm a complete newbie to the forum and to vaping. Iv only been vaping for a couple of months or so, and am looking to upgrade from my starter kit but have no idea what to. Iv been looking at the inokin coolfire 1 but this is all alien to me. I really have no idea about terminology or anything so if someone would be so kind to explain it all to me I.e terminology, difference between mods ect that would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

Hello and Welcome, So you want to step it up a bit. Have you looked at an MVP v2 as a stepping stone it is VV/VW you will get a complete kit for £35.

Cool fire 1 & 2 will require you to buy batteries and a charger as well so extra cost.

Check out review section and also Youtube for more ideas.

MyEpack is a good place for Innokin products at great prices.

OTHER vendors are available :D

Hello and :welcome1:, i have the coolfire I and it's my out and about vape tool, it works really well and feels solid but it's not as versatile as my coolfire II(vari wattage) wich i use at home but then you get funny looks when vaping a hand grenade

Hi and welcome from another newbie.

I have the MVP 2.0 mentioned above (from MyEpack) and whilst impressed with the features and general build quality, not to mention the epic battery life, I do have a couple of niggles:

Size and weight makes it impractical (for me at least) to use whilst driving to work, and could get mistaken from a distance for a mobile phone (??) so I shall hold onto my cheapo ego kit to use on the way to The Warehouse Of Woe.

Paired with an IClear 30 from which, after a week or so, I'm still picking up some metallic taste whilst vaping (2nd bought as a spare from local shop dosen't function so is going back later today) and may have to "drop down" to an IClear 16 (also, as an aside, may be more practical at the aforementioned W.O.W which is a chill / freezer so less likely to be cold to the touch)

Well, thats my two penneth worth.

Whatever you decide to go with, happy vaping

Hi from yet another newbie.
I started about the same time as you and just bought a protank mini 2 about a week ago.I like it,some people find it to airy.
My advice is to take your time, there is no rush. Consider why you want to "upgrade".What does your current machine not do that you want or what does it do that you don't want? keep reading the reviews ,articles and of course whatever people say here. The terminology comes slowly,I am sure I saw a link somewhere on this site about that.
What I have learned is that all machines have problems at times and different people want different things from their machine so don't buy a new machine till you know why you want one.Good luck.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Well I'm currently using the evod at the moment

And I'm looking for something that will give me abit more of a hit if you no what I mean. I also spend the most of the day on site so I want something easy to use and won't be that bothered if it gets damaged, scratched or nicked.

Aloha, everyone here can be really helpful and give you all the info under the sun, but what we need is to know what you want the upgrade to do for you (longer battery life, more power, etc.) then we can give you more specific info to your needs.

newcreate.png:hugs: Hello there!!! I use the MVP for work as the Battery lasts me about Three days on average, I personally don't find it that heavy compared to some of my Mechanical Mods but everyone's different. Good Luck and enjoy your Vaping Journey!!!

Welcome To Planet of The Vapes

I'll second the MVP. Its a great little device with its self contained battery. No battery's to buy and great battery life. It too is my go to work with me mod.

Firstly, welcome aboard to both you and Millsy!

Some people seem to be more sensitive than others to a metallic taste. Strangely I have the issue with canned beer, but not with vaping. The most likely cause is that an iclear 30 has a metal drip tip, whereas the 16 has a plastic one. You don't say whether your 30 is a 30B or a 30S, and as I'm not familiar with the 30B, let's hope it is the 30S. You could try acondom type barrier between your mouth and the drip tip tp see if that makes any difference, but getting a 'condom' to fit aroung a knuckle head mouthpiece ain't easy. If you have a spare 16 drip tip from an old atty or whatever, you could unscrew the metal knuckle head drip tip from the metal top of the tank - it may not be immediately apparent but it WILL unscrew - and sustitute the plastic drip tip for the metal one. You will have to shorten the plastic drip tip by sawing a piece off the bottom of the drip tip with a hacksaw. Lay the metal and plastic drip tips side by side to measure how much to saw off. Once you have shortened the plastic drip tip and cleaned up any burrs, simply screw it into the 30 tank and vape away. If your vape experience is more like the 16 and not metallic, then the issue is likely to be the metal drip tip.

If this is the case, for future purchases make sure your chosen atty has a removable drip tip [sometimes referred to as a 510 fitting drip tip]. You will need to get an aftermarket drip tip in a non metallic material and junk the metal drip tip if your chosen atty has one. You can buy 510 drip tips made of plastic, ceramic, glass, and even wood, which might be good for the chill of the W.O.W. cold stores!

I hope this has been helpful and I haven't been totally talking out of my proverbial!!
