Complete newbie and need help

:welcome1: to POTV

We have a great Wiki, tab is on the top menu, it has all the terminology and explains a lot about vaping :)

Hi everyone I'm a complete newbie to the forum and to vaping. Iv only been vaping for a couple of months or so, and am looking to upgrade from my starter kit but have no idea what to. Iv been looking at the inokin coolfire 1 but this is all alien to me. I really have no idea about terminology or anything so if someone would be so kind to explain it all to me I.e terminology, difference between mods ect that would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

welcome in millsy - i was the same when i first started bud you pick it all up as you go along - as others have said check out the wiki section and if you have any questions just ask - with regards to terminology vis a vis mods there are two main types - Regulated or VV/VW (Variable voltage/Variable wattage) is a mod such as the vamo or zmax which you can change the voltage with a boosting circuit board or the wattage going to the coil therefore giving more vapour - the other type is mechanical like a nemesis or chi you these operate with a 3.7 volt lithium rechargeable battery and you bulid your own coil in a rebuildable atomiser like a kayfun or a taifun the higher the resistance of the coil the less vapor you get from it the lower the resistance the more vapour you get from it - i wouldnt reccomend starting with a mech though as the batteries have specified amp ratings and you need to do some research on them to use them safely or the battery can vent if you try to draw too many amps from it. - any more questions ask buddy

HI AND WELCOME :welcome1: also some sound advice above on the set ups. i also agree that just take your time, find what works for you, i started vaping 5 months ago and have been through various set ups, gradually getting more complex.

I told myself and my wife that vaping would save me money in the long run vs smoking, errr i was wrong, keep wanting to upgrde to bigger better things i found a simple kit which has worked well for me is a simple ce4 ego 1100 battery, with a BDC aspire Maxi bottom dual coil tank, simple, cheap and really effective, think the battery was 8.00 and the tank 5.99 , its the best clearomizer i have found for that budget. others may have other opinions, and i am by no way anywhere near an advance vaper. i have also have a itzte vv3.0 battery with a kenger aero tank and i still use my simple set up in equal use. again depends what your happy with :)

Welcome from another newbie!

I had a hard time getting started with vaping, I got a pretty cheap ego kit from ukecig store I think at the time, and the CE4/CE5 clearomiser (i forget which) that came with it was horrible, terrible vape production, minimal flavour, etc.. I thought vaping was generally bad, but then I got some better clearos, currently using an RBC from aqwa with a 2.1ohm atomiser in it, and it is wonderful, I use an iTaste SVD at about 7-9watts, I would really recommend getting a variable wattage device, as for me different clearomisers work better at different power levels, from reading up I wished I had got the MVP rather than the SVD, so I would recommend the MVP (albeit I have not used it) because it seems like an ideal device for a newcomer to VV/VW mods at an affordable price :)

+1 for the mvp 2.0. Awesome device, battery is big so lasts long and for £35 you cant really go wrong. If you wanted to spend a little more id prob go for the vtr though.
