Take a look, this map shows that the number of signatures placed on the EFVI campaign is only just over 2000 and at 3% of the amount needed to reach threshold. Really, it takes a couple of minutes to sign your name and stand up for vaping so as per the thread title - why so few signatures?

Large scale mobilisations may be the only thing that will save vaping so please, if you have not already done so pop across, leave your signature and help get those numbers up to the threshold by posting on Facebook, twitter, your website, the door of the office toilet - wherever it will make a difference :)

There only seem to be a few who log on frequently I agree though everyone should be signing and sharing

The trouble, as I see it, is that are so many different groups all doing different bits and pieces that after the initial effort it is difficult to keep up with.

Also, there are thunderclaps, mass tweeting, online petitions and Facebook groups. These are all very well if you have a clue what they are, and the assumption is that everyone does. I don't, and I can't believe I am the only one who doesn't.

I've written my letters to MP's and MEP's, most of which were responded to. Some favorably, some not so.

I think "apathy" is very much influenced by individual understanding of what is trying to be achieved and by what means. There does come a point where it seems there are a lot of people doing lots of things but not talking to one another, and it starts to look like a bit unweildy rather than a coordinated response to something.

Don't get me wrong, I am not dismissing anything anyone is doing. I applaud their commitment, drive and enthusiasm. They are better people than me. I just find it hard to keep up.

PS - I have added my support to the petition linked. :D

I'll shout this...Well i'll just talk it. Firstly many people who are new just want to get vaping, politics are way to heavy for some of 'em at this stage. Of those who will or would make the effort, only a percentage are being reached here owing to the fact that this info doesn't exactly jump up & smack them square on in the nose, i have to come looking for it here myself.
On the one hand if you/we ram information down peoples throats they might retreat & just go back to their bubble, it's what a lot of people do !
On the other hand, if there was some kind of subtle incentive say like a banner somewhere between the 10 post noob threshold & the step into all areas, maybe a few more members would see it. A lot of people are put of by boring words like 'news' or 'mep's' & it's only when they realize their own interests are under threat that they will click that link.

I signed everything that i am aware of so far. Written a couple of emails to politicians. Ear to the ground.

Could there not be a stamp at the top of every page next to the potv logo ? Like a rubber stamp style clickable link.

Also, those of us of a certain age don't understand how tjings like Twitter and Facebook affect the real world. I know Jeremy Kyle seems to make a living from Facebook, but can't quite get my ageing noggin around how social media impacts on everyday real world happenings.

Letter writing and petitions I get.
Everything else is a bit beyond me. Poor old bastard that I am. :D

I've tried to sign it, but because I'm a Swiss citizen living in the UK, it won't let me (must be an EU citizen to sign). So I've done the Twitter / Thunderclap / writing to MEPs route.
