What's new

Considering we have 8000 members why so apathetic?

Ive signed it along with all the other bits. Thunderclap, hours tweeting and emailing meps. Its about reach. Out of 2 million Vapers in the UK, probably only 2% know what's going on. Totally Wicked have the reach but I see nothing in their shop windows enlightening the masses. The big suppliers need to unite and spread the word. A few forum Vapers signing many different petitions have nowhere near enough impact.

PlumeBlu I've signed it but to be honest I get spammed to shit though all media and as you have to put your name, address and DOB into most petitions that may put some off. I hate giving my details out but personally I'd rather give my details and keep vaping than sit here doing nothing and thinking 'it'll never happen''.

Bit like those that don't bother to vote in the elections and then sit there moaning about it.

As I own my own website I usually use the companies name I'm interested in followed by my email address. For example [email protected] PlumeBlu@..... and I recently signed a vape petition using this method and within two days had a spam email for dodgy Chinese watches. So, I may not be doing much good for the cause with this email but this I believe could be a reason and not just apathy, although sadly I believe you are right.

SB.

You should remember that the EFVI is not an another petition. It is a public initiative. The reason why personal information is collected is that governments will verify the amount of valid signatures.

This initiative will give an opportunity to meet Commission representatives in person and to present our initiative at a public hearing in the European Parliament.

ive got it linked in my sig so youd think anyone reading any of my nearly 24k posts :P would sign it! POTV even sent out an email to 7,000 members when it was created :( youd think that would have made a dent at least :(

It is quite surprising that more haven't signed, i posted a link on FB and only a few friends signed it.
Will post it again on FB and see if more people do it.

can it be sent again so new members get it as well.
there has been an influx recently :)

I signed it already.

I have become rather more political than I prefer,as I don't want my vaping gear/juices to become a medical product or regulated to useless.I have also wondered why a forum with so many members hasn't attracted more interest in threats to their vaping habit/hobby.I have posted links to all petitions on my Facebook pages,or tweeted them and regularly get told by my friends "Oh,I thought it was a virus" Arghhh, since when did I ever ask you to sign a fucking virus? I have also had many responses to requests to sign petitions saying they have done as requested. What I do find though,is keeping track of the dozens of different petitions is very confusing. Why not a single petition? We have so many groups going,I am a member of some(discover they exist via POTV/reading comments on my Facebook page etc)but its nigh-on impossible knowing who is what on where and if their petition is the same one as I've already signed.
