Coronavirus UK Daily Statistics

agreed - herd immunity will happen / is happening

With the tests - I wonder how many people realised their data can be kept for 8 years
https://www.gov.uk/government/publi...or-coronavirus-privacy-information-quick-read

and there was more new legislation just recently passed...

personally not entirely sure wtf it all means & atm doesn't apply to me coz not been tested

For the record - not trying to piss into the wind or stoke fear or cause rows etc...
just stating my own personal view/opinion that I have formulated mostly on my own
after reading facts & bullshit on BOTH SIDES of the COVID debate

people may agree/disagree but just saying what I think and is just my daft point of view

People always say things like how long will my data be kept for, and how secure will it be,

Consider this though.

You get born, you have an NHS number for life.
Your parents have to register your birth with the gov, for life.
You get to working age, you are sent an NI number for life.
You pass your driving test, you have a licence number, for life.
You decide to travel, you have a passport, with a number, and photo on it.
Etc, etc.

Why bother about this, any of these computer systems can be hacked (i know because years ago one of my mates was very good at it)

It's all part of the rich tapestry of life. :)

Stay Lucky :)

Also says your data (not personal - yeah right) can be stored overseas
& what you listed doesn't contain dna data for starters

but I was merely pointing this out...

With the tests - I wonder how many people realised their data can be kept for 8 years

Not so long ago people were in uproar about the criminal fingerprint/dna database
where as this covid test data people have willingly submitted themselves

not quite tin foil hat, but remember seeing people saying stuff like
if you get an ancestry dna test - use a fake name, address of friend/family member
coz they have you name, address, payment details as well as your dna & there is no perfect guarantee any of this data is fully secured or hacked/forwarded

still - *** actually decided to not list a few examples ***

let's just say, some people on social media for example
are unaware just how much data they are sharing or how easy it is to track
& uncover more in minutes, without hacking within minutes

mandatory for pubs and restaurants to collect the information. but it’s not mandatory to go in a pub or a restaurant, if you don’t want to be tracked or traced.
Anybody not going for a pint because they don't want to put their name and phone number in to an app is a confirmed tinfoil hat enthusiast.
