So proportionately a lot less people seem to be dying of coronavirus in scotland, if my rough calculation is right. Is scotland behind on the infection timeline?

There are currently 1,563 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Scotland, although the actual number of cases is likely to be in the tens of thousands.

This page is updated regularly and shows how the number of confirmed cases has grown in Scotland, as well as a breakdown of where those cases are.

The first coronavirus case in Scotland was detected on 1 March by NHS Tayside and the number of patients testing positive for Covid-19 has risen steadily since then.

However, Scotland's chief medical officer, Dr Catherine Calderwood, has estimated that the actual number of cases could be 50 times higher than the official figure.

The first coronavirus death in Scotland was reported by NHS Lothian on 13 March. The patient was elderly and had underlying health issues.

This chart shows how the number of deaths has risen in the days since then.

The Scottish government provides a breakdown of cases by health board. All patients who have tested positive for Covid-19 and are being treated in hospital will be included in these figures.

The highest number of cases is in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, reflecting the fact it is the most populous part of Scotland.

OK. You can get UK stats for Excel by region/country from PHE England.
My extremely rough calculations (could be talking bollocks) is that England and Scotland are about neck and neck if it's a race. Wales is worse. N Ireland is better.

Aye that was reported on channel 4 news last night as well. I meant to post it here. deaths in care homes and the community aren’t included in the figures.
 
Looks like we are still following the trend set by Italy so it was to be expected, now it brings it home. I`m staying in.
