Cotton, coil and clouds - how does that work then?

Been puzzling over this for a while, but not come across any explanation...

The recommendation is to have a tight coil. But that's giving a helluva heat to the small volume of cotton within the coil; and the vapour will be trapped within the tube of the coil, if it's tight.

Why isn't it better to space out the coils, so heat is applied to a greater volume of cotton, and to give juice a free route to vaporise?

I know I'm missing something(s) important here, but can't think what it is!

With the coils touching the heat is greatly intensified.

As there is no gaps for the heat to escape.

More heat = more vapour

The coil doesn't restrict the vapour, it pours out of each end of the coil like no tomorrow :)

Glad someone took time to explain this as had been puzzling me greatly. ..

Welcome :)

Glad to give something back to you after the advice you've given on the 14500s lately.

Although I mailed hodge last night to see if he still had his Aiolos and found out you aquired it long ago! (Jealous) :)
