Personally speaking, I think I’m done with government advice and edicts. Not to say that I’ll be out with the dickheads en masse, just that I’ve made a conscious decision to follow my own logic, my own (I hate this term) common sense.
Yes, I’ll still mask up in Aldi, yes I’ll still sanitise, yes I’ll still avoid large gatherings, but on my terms. If I want to have my mum and her husband round for tea at the same time as my sister, her partner and their kids, and the in-laws, I will, as long as they’re relatively healthy because I trust them to tell me if they or their kids have symptoms, not because some numpty has decided that it’s safe this week.
And I can see how I’d be considered part of the problem, that it’s people doing what they like that’ll spread it.
But it’s not.
It’s dickheads doing what they like that’ll spread it, and I don’t intend to be a dickhead.

My favourite was the lockdown. Governenment tell us not to go out, everyone is happy with that. Government tell us we can start going back out now and everyone fumes about being told it!

But we locked down too late so when it did happen we were all grateful it came!

Then we were told we could go out we came out of lockdown too quick so we were all pissed off!

Not sure why you've got a problem with people for this?

I think that's the only sensible thing to do. If the government think I'm not going to see my Mum (who's already showing signs of pretty bad loneliness) while other folk go to the pub, then they are highly mistaken. As I said right at the start, I'll look after myself and my family and that's all I really am concerned about.
