The yellow is bob on. The real blue shows as green with her cack camera, it should be almost a kingfisher electric blue, but a few shades darker?
12mm tall from deck face, 9mm wide, paralled sided, 90r. Blue with thin yellow swirly 80/20 ratio.
Doable?
edit 510

Yes I play with trains, the sad chunt that I am.

Hi mate,

I’d love to have a crack at this for you. I will play around with some pigments and see if I can get this close, a little confused about the blue though, they look different shades in every photo, please can you just show me one photo to go from?

The size and shape, please let me know if I have this correct...

12mm tall (not including the connection)
9mm diameter
510 fitting
Parallel sided, not sure what you mean by that? Or 90r, sorry if I’m being thick!

80% blue with 20% yellow swirled in - the ratio is fine, couldn’t guarantee if it would be thin though. I have very little, almost no control over where the resin moves after it’s been poured. It would be pot luck.

Doable? Absolutely. I think if you can accept that the pattern will be random and clarify the details, we can do this no trouble. I think it’s great to make a tip in a colour that relates to a hobby and interest. Love doing these type of projects!

The price - would be a three colour mix price, £14 including delivery. I’m going to need to mix several blues and possibly some white to match the colour for you. Hope that’s ok!

I was thinking (and feel free to spank me if it's not welcome or I'm wrong)

A problem you might have ..... blue and yellow will make green, so when Lee mixes it up together you'll might end up with fair amount of green hue's in it.

From what I've seen the colours tend to mix together a fair bit with these resins.

Yeah that’s right they can do, although I do have another type of resin that’s rapid setting. It is possible to mix one colour a few minutes ahead of another colour so one is thickening up before the other. Doesn’t totally stop them bleeding in but it certainly stops them making one big mess. It is also possible to pour the resin in sections, with the mould on a sloped surface to create the desired effect. Although time consuming, and wasting lots of resin, there is ways it could be done [emoji16]

Another way it could be done is to make resin ribbons of the yellow, id basically spread a very thin layer over a glass surface of yellow resin, and just as its finishing setting and still warm, peeling it off and cutting it into strips. It can then be bent and placed in the blank mould, and filled up with the blue. The effect would be solid yellow lines in random directions. I think that’s how I’d do this one judging by what he is asking for [emoji16]

F my old boots, I'm loving this input! Even a green 'bleed' might be good. Lee, put me down for three off the one block? 90r I am only thinking of a regular curve from straight to the horizontal of tip. My engineering terminology is as fucked as London engineering! Just think of the pukka radei, radeii, radiei, radeaui, fucking radius you put on the other works of art!
Give us a pm code or something, so I can add the other orders, too.

If she thinks I'm not buying her a present for Chrimbo...

Haha no problem mate. I had an idea what you was saying but wasn’t 100%. I have a good idea now though. I’ll read this back in the morning after 20 cups of coffee and get back to you with a PM about it all.

I’ve indulged in far too many bitburgers this evening to be talking radius’s [emoji23]
