Hello!
Im not a new vaper but I'm new to DUAL 18650 devices.
I've just bought a second hand mod because it was an absolute bargain, it arrived with 2x Samsung 30q 18650s.
Now I know if the wraps around the sides, it's a big no no unless you rewrap them.
However, these are perfect all around the sides and at the positive ends.
But the negative ends are tattered and torn as shown in pic.
I'm basically just wondering whether they'll be alright to use or not

Somebody more knowledgeable will give you a better answer I'm sure - but for the sake of 5p I wouldn't!

You can order some new wraps for next to nothing. If you're prepared to wait a week or 2 I just got 50 for $1 from Fasttech

Nope. Re wrap them. Like Pete says for the sake of a few pence it's just not worth risking.

Definitely rewrap them and also carefully check the mod to see if that caused the damage. If mod seems ok then it's down to carelessness so check mod again for damage!

Ebay or amazon for wraps, couple of quid, delivered in a few days.

Easy to replace.

Cheaper than an accident and easier on your mind to stop the nagging doubt.

GrimJim, PM me your address and I'll send you some wraps. They are pre-cut for 18650 batteries. Slip them on and just use a hairdryer on them.

That's a very generous offer Ukvaper. GrimJim the rule of thumb with the batties we use are if the wrap is damaged always put a new one on. If there other issues with the battery dents, pitting don't use it dispose of it properly

Just remember to give the hair dryer back when you're done with it. Mrs. Stewbacca goes mental when hers migrates it's self into my vape gear.
