What's new

Disposable Vapes - The tide seems to be changing - Disposable Vape Ban ?

Must resist pushing the 'show ignored content' button....... must resist.

I'll leave you guys to it.

Much love.

I don't know the oxva but the latest Caliburns appear to now have refillable pods which also means they will need to have replacement coils and well as being refilled regularly with juice.

Making them rechargable is fine but I would like people to also still be able to buy replacement pods that will all come with a new coil and be already full of juice like the Efra.

It would also be good if makers had to all make the pods interchangeable and make sure replacement pods could be bought wherever cigarettes are on sale.

ive a feeling you are seriously behind the times … what you describe has been available for at least a few years . Longer than disposables have - element were doing it four years ago, jeez juul and the like have been doing it for years …

You're still missing the point.

You have years full of built up knowledge swimming around your head which is why you know these things are out there, same as I do.

Hardly any of the people I know using disposables could name any well known brand of vape gear and they don't know what's out there.

They can buy disposables in virtually any shop that sells cigarettes. They are not going to spend time trawling vape web sites researching it all. All they want is something simple to use that they can find in any local shop.

Id love to know who yer ignoring :)

I don't know, there's potential for several different answers... it's never forever, but sometimes I just need a break for a while. To shut myself up for a while.

It's whoever you are Zou are talking to though, I can't see the quotes but it's obvious you are replying to someone.

But these things are ready available in sainsburys, tescos, asda and have been for years … they are not lodged on obscure websites …

@ZT

I think I might take Si the Mod off ignore though.... it's been a long time and I have no animosity towards him.

Although with all this stuff coming back into conversation, maybe best not yet!

Tell him I say Hello though! (and hope the scoots are well)

Of course! So then the next question is why haven't they taken off like disposables?

Partly it's because they don't know what they are or even that they're there. Secondly they only want the easiest vapes that require the least work.

With disposables they haven't had to do any research. They haven't had to spend any time learning how to maintain them. They don't know anything about TPD. And when they walk into the shop they only have two questions on their mind. What flavour is it and how many puffs do they get for their money?

OK lets try to explain it like this.

With cigarettes first you have to go to your nearest place where cigarettes are on sale and buy a packet.

After that you have a 4 step process.

1) Open the packet and take out a cigarette.
2) Put the tip end in your mouth.
3) Flick your lighter.
4) Light the cigarette and inhale.

The whole process takes less than 5 seconds.

If you want to get people off smoking that's what you're competing against.

You don't have to spend any of your valuable time researching anything.
You don't have to spend any of your valuable time learning anything.
You don't have to spend any of your valuable time maintaining anything.

They don't want to do a 6 months course learning what to do.
They don't want to spend hours or days trawling shops or vape web sites finding out what's available.
They don't want to keep having to stop and spend time filing up, or changing batteries or changing coils.
And they don't want to have to keep pressing buttons and messing around with settings they've got no interest in even trying to understand.
Neither do they want some big hulking device that's liable to leak everywhere.

It's no good people keep quoting the stuff you've learned that's floating in your heads.

These people don't know any of that.

THAT IS WHY DISPOSABLES EXPLODED IN POPULARITY.

They were just so SIMPLE to use, EASY to understand and as QUICK to operate as a cigarette. Then add in the immense variety of scrummy flavours and you get lift off.
