I'd put money on it being the same board mate! And yes, it would be a simple job - maybe even worthy of a genuine board. The soldering is exactly the same, and with a genuine DNA20/30 you would get all those lovely features missing from the clones, for a few quid more. :D

Quick question, how do you get the holes for micro usb sockets cutout accurately? I made a box mod with a charging board and was chuffed with the result apart from the shit job I made of the 'slot' for the usb

Quick answer - I don't! The board blew in the first one I made, and I thought, "Fcuk that for a game of soldiers!", so I made up an external charger with a jack and put a socket in the mod. It is "arched window" shape and took an hour to drill and file. It'll be easier to replace the board in an external charger than it will in an ally mod, as most of the boards differ in shape to some degree. :D

Lovely looking mod ,I know what you mean with the DNA board
being small and fragile,I have had one for while now and am sh**ing myself when I think about putting it in a mod.
Got the sx350 chip today and been working on a prototype box today after work.
where did you get the cloned DNA chips from,if you don't mind me asking

Dang where you getting those sx350 from and how much do they cost ?
I have a hankering to build me a device with one of them but I failed at getting a free sample from Yihi. . .

Very nice @Dexter. How does the board perform ??

They are absolutely fine so far :D The first build I did saw the charging board (supplied) go wonky, which was a PITA. But as far as performance is concerned, early indications are that they are fine. As I said earlier, the screen came away from my genuine board, so I never go the chance to try it, so I can't give a definitive answer. However, now I am happy soldering and fitting the clones, I am tempted to go back to genuine evolve boards. :D

I ripped a screen off a dna but right out the box it didn't look right, it was the first board I ever got so I didn't really now what to expect. Every board Ive had after that have been solid. Now the first thing I do is put some double sided tape on the back of the screen and stick it to the big square on the board while Im soldering it.
The broken board has come in handy when doing mockups and test fitting.

Keep up the good work.
