Dry burn the coils or not?

Spaced coils only for me, I just seem to prefer them. Always 30awg and usually 316L but occasionally ni80.
Me too these days. I even pull apart the pre-made contact coils I buy. But I tend to prefer Ni80 as SS tends to go too low for me. I do use some but not a lot. And my mtl single wire builds tend to be Kanthal.

Yeah I also searched for kendo gold but they are difficult to find in stock. Perhaps I should consider kendo gold next time.
Just make sure you've got a few hours put aside to prime them. :D

I've still got a dry spot in the middle of mine 3 weeks later. :11:

I've left it to see if it disappears but doesn't look like it will.

You mean I should wait few hours after dripping liquid on them? Just like regullar coil priming? If that is the case I can do that.

I'm just messing. They're a bugger to prime. They start off allergic to eliquid and point blank refuse to accpet any. But they give in with perserverance and once saturated they're fine. You'll see what I mean if you get some. I'm not a huge fan personally tho.

Jelly Fish is fine to use.

to me there's dry burning and gentle heating ..... I do the latter when I want to clean a coil a little before re-wicking, just enough to help burn the junk off but the coil probably doesn't get any hotter than in normal vaping use, so I don't really see the issue. There's no need to blast the fuck out a dry coil whatever you are trying to do.

When I build a new coil, I'll make sure it's glowing evenly from the inside out and strum coils if there are any spots. Are you guys saying you don't or there is no need to do this? Or are you saying their is no need to do it when cleaning your coils?

It could potentially be harmful, is what I am saying. Read the article I linked in my post above.
