I love my SMPL clones but worry about carrying them in case they fire in my pocket or bag.

These are a cheap and easy fix.

Just 22ml chair/table leg ferrules (the plastic or silicone cups that fit on the bottom of pipe style legs).

Not pretty but fit perfectly and do the job. Flat enough that the mod will still stand upright on a table with it on and no scratching so far. Probably good for protecting 510s on 22mm attys, too.

Good idea, if you use 22mm walking stick ferrules they'll stand up better.

It was the ferrules off my other-half's crutches gave me the idea. Too bulky, though. These are about as perfect as I can find (though I have silicone 'samples' coming from a few manufacturers (minimum order 1000 but 5 custom-made samples for free..).

So happy you posted this! Needed a solution for my Celts (both have the v2 switch)

This is what I call a pro tip!
Thanks for this! :)

Cheers wraith - been meaning to order some of these for my SMPL for a while, now ordered as I'm going full time mech for a bit :)
