The only thing is most if not all vendor members pay for the privilege, I can't see many "youtube reviewers" wanting to do that

I suppose it depends how much traffic comes from posting on here. :D

If they are making money out of it, then maybe they should be contributing a little?

Vendors get sales, Reviewers get views, likes and people subscribing.

What does a normal member get from posting a review of something they just bought, or helping someone out with advice? ... nothing. (lol, not that I'm complaining about that. We do it because we are those kind of people)

To be honest. My reviewers who have been sent things for review are the people I stray away from.

People who have gone out and brought a tank or mod and given a honest review from a consumer point f view are the reviewers I look for and POTV have some great members who do so.

But people like vic are only posting links to get more views which means more revenue which means more goods sent to him from company's. I know it's business but come on, if someone asks you a question then at least reply back to the person in respect of taking there time out and watch your video.
I agree partly but not in full, i get something usually once a month to review, i have been lucky that what i have been sent so far i have found to be good items. If i do find things that are not to my liking i mention them. I don't think an item sent by a vendor for review is the same as a review for an item sent by the manufacturer. for this reason, if a manufacturer send something out for review reviewers may big it up no matter to get further products, If a vendor sends an item then someone slates it in a review the vendor won't be thinking " i won't send them anything else" as its just one product they sell and is not a criticism of their company.
Something i don't agree on is reviewers selling off items sent them for review, yet it does happen. There maybe reviewers who say they have purchased the item themselves but haven't after all who knows if they have, especially if they mention or link somewhere to buy the device from.
Plus we all know whats right for her may not be right for him so all reviews are subjective but they can give an overall picture of what to expect. All i will say though is anyone who does a review does put their own time into making it and in a way a device sent out for review is sort of earned by writing or making a video review. Reviewers who buy the devices themselves maybe doing do in the hope their review will get them noticed and bring in stuff to review, sort of like a first step, make anything good and you get customers, do good reviews you will get companies ask for that persons services as a reviewer, so in a way its all swings and roundabouts to be fair.

Edit Vapingwithvic doesn't make money he just gets stuff for review, i did see a load of stuff a while back where he had a row because he cannot work and someone made out he was making money which was untrue, He gets the device for free which is classed as a gift its not a wage. So i doubt that he gets money for the amount of traffic his youtube channel gets

perhaps they should

, some reviewers do monetise their videos others don't ,but a lot do get sent free stuff, then a select few who will except any old tat for "review" just to get free stuff. The youtube reviews need those sub counts and views to get more free stuff

the reviews from "normal" members are a lot better on here imo, someone buys it then more often than not a discussion ensues, a couple more people buy etc, giving an overall better opinion of an item

as you said, I couldn't really care either way, as watch the reviewers I like, each to their own and all that

the reviews from members are perhaps in some cases more honest they arent however generally videos and seeing the wicking done on a new rta on video far outweighs a description

strikes me as a symbiotic relationship they give us the visuals we give them the exposure....fair trade?

yeah, you're right they are mostly written which is different angle to the dozen or so youtube reviews of the same item, I just don't see the need to post them here, mostly everyone will have their go to reviewer for the visuals and review style that like,

the ones that post here I cant stand, but thats my opinion, If I want to watch a review I watch my subbed channels on yt

we're all entitled to an opinion we are after all a community and its opinions that make the community what it is, but thats what it should remain an opinion each of equal validity and none more equal than others. Im not comfortable with the hounding of some which is what appeared to be happening here. As i said the forum has what i see as a symbiotic relationship with reviewers.... quid pro quo you might say

we were asked for an opinion by the one of the men in charge so some gave it, maybe in a manner that you personally didn't agree with?.

I, in no way believe I've hounded anyone.

I don't think this was directed at you personally mate ... more about earlier when people were calling for his head for lack of 'input' on the forum.
