These batteries from eBay fit, a bit snug but they do fit.

The black and gold version Ultrafires are a bit too long.
My IMR 18650s from Totally Wicked (no nipples) fit well.

Morning all! Thanks for all the comments. Just a quick update before I collapse into my pit after the 13th birthday party!
The tins will be changed so they are more like a standard Altoids tin, but i'll need to order them in bulk - which will have to be after payday unfortunately, as the soft drinks bar bill for my daughter's party put me in the hole by £300!
The battery holders are a bit of a nightmare, to be honest, because most 18650's are anything but those dimensions - so I heat the holders are stretch them slightly using an oversized 18650 form. I use the blue Senybor batteries which have BEAUTIFUL nipples, but they are snug - but every 18650 tin I make should be sent out with a small magnetic spacer - apologies to OS and KMS that I overlooked them on the prototypes.
The final thing is - I will be making a PoTV mini tin which takes a 14500. Done the tins, need to do the "innards"!
Hopefully will have something to offer up in the next few weeks.

£300 soft drinks bar bill! I just gave the boy £100 for drinks at VFestival - maybe I got off light?
I have become quite a fan of the 14500 since I got the Old Goat. I got these from the Scotsman on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300765978170#ht_3271wt_1271 as tested and recommended by him and they are good. Good value too.

I use that ebayer and service is very good. Strangely he doesn't sell 18350s, a battery I use a lot in my Don and Touchwood and the Juno. Luckily the superb Juno will accept the 16340s he does and they are very good batteries.
I bought some of those 14500s for my girlfriends Puresmoker Icon. They won't fit. It's a lovely mod but it's tolerance for slightly longer nippled batteries is zero.

Regarding batteries, I can't recommend Jim on eBay highly enough. I buy almost all of my batteries from him (like Mark says, he doesn;t seem to 18350's as yet, but then he wasn't selling 14500's a couple of months ago). He is a really helpful guy - and even offered to provide me with batteries to sell on my site when I asked if he would be OK with me posting a link to his eBay goodies!
I particularly like the fact that he tests each type of battery he sells and is completely up front about their actual capacities - whether they are above or below, which can only be a good thing in my opinion. Also, if you read the full description for the individual batteries, he lets you know if they are "oversized" - like KMS's Senybors which definitely don't fit a standard 18650 holder.

Finally got my AW IMR 18650 and some LR cartos and these thing vapes a beast! Love love love love love love it!

I am so glad KMS! I've got a couple of bits to do for another forum member and then I'll be all over the mini tins! Still got to wait for payday for the new type of tins, but as soon as I get them I'll do the lids and about a week later the insides and I can get them up on the forum and start paying my way!
