EU regulator: No evidence to support restriction of Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine

The problem is, while they are 'pausing' the newer variants are running wild across the EU.

Bottom line, I'd rather be here, with my AZ jab, than over there right now.

That's just how I feel about it.

Unfortunately, while they pause people are dying from Covid-19 ............ which is spreading, tested for and proven. It's a balance?

collateral damage? is it acceptable, not if it could be avoided using other vaccines..

the problem is that while this threat of blood clots might be extremely low for the general population, if it is only really a risk to a small percentage of the population, then for those people the risk could be quite significant.

But these are mostly countries screaming they don't have enough vaccines? It's a timing thing too?

No point in having a trillion doses of a questionable vaccine is there...... if this was the Russian vaccine causing worldwide concern ..... Im sure we would have paused it;)

i’m no sure; i think we would be right behind a russian vaccine. if it was an eu vaccine, on the other hand...

Depends how 'questionable' you actually think it is. :D

*goody - all the more for us* :16: ;)

They would say they don't have enough of the other vaccines, there does seem to be a problem with the AZ, it cant just be hype. Remember pfizer at the start, some cases around anaphylaxis, and how quickly the MHRA responded? You just mentioned snowballing, yes it is. But who's going to do something about this blood clot problem, or are we too embedded in the process (of vaccination) and there's no turning back. Is there a thalidomide or asbestos moment? That took years and decades, the current AZ problem(s) need to be urgently addressed.
