Might've gotten lucky then, only thing on the wrapper itself is the barcode thingy and a big sticker stating the capacity. Might figure out how to cycle them on my big RC charger, to see if they actually have the stated capacity, if i can be bothered. Needless to say, that's the last time for me. I just recently got into vaping (to stop smoking) - and let me tell you as someone who just entered the hobby (or in my case, addiction-replacement), this is incredibly damaging to the entire industry. You constantly have to double and triple check everything you order, to see if you accidentally (or deliberately) have gotten something fake, it's tiresome.
yup .... things like batteries we are really just relying on the vendors because unless you have testing equipment then it's really not easy to know, sometimes the cells are genuine but they are pretending to be a different cell. When LG HG2 were hard to get, there were cheaper lower amp (but genuine) LG cells having HG2 wraps put on them, which is just as dangerous too.... when you think you have a 20A cell and it's actually an 8A cell. .... That's why this whole affair is inexcusable because the vendor is the last port of call before it gets to us. ... you need to be able to trust them.
