First real mech

I'm reading oven cleaner can be quite effective, maybe worth a shot. Look for products that contain the chemical methylene chloride to be sure it will be capable of removing powder coating.

Lol. A trick my dad taught me decades ago. Find a brand that works. Check what it's active ingredients are. Then go buy the active ingredients..

He used to do this stuff and did a similar job for me years ago when he refinished one of my Mecha b0ds for me. He's the Man for this stuff and will no doubt have recommendations and tips aplenty :)

What's most odd is, I'm asking. Normally, by now, I'd have fcuked it or it'd be shining.
It's interesting. It seems the respect you have to give to such a potentially dangerous bit of electrical kit, extends to its fit and finish, well for me anyway.
 
So we have 2 30Ts arriving by Monday, thanks of Fogstar. Not like I'm excited or anything, you understand. No, no, nothing like that.
 
Ok so totally out of character, I'm going for the subtle approach.( In know, I'm sure they'll write books about it one day). Still wedded to elbow grease, but it's coming along.

Green scotch cloth elbow grease, Monster energy zero, and more elbow grease. Using a touch of lighter fuel to soften the Paint. I'm assuming you can see what I intend. Actually save the lighter fuel, all the gear l use is in the picture
