First real mech

Ok. So since the mod arrived I've been using a brochrome .23 ohm build in my Reberth rta.
Now as a lovely pair of 30Ts arrived today. I've used several rotation builds of about 14 ohm.
I've yet to build, specifically, for a 35amp mech.
I was going to use the Kennedy. But them posts are very far apart for even a " fence wire" brochrome build. Which leaves the Goon as favourite, with its clamp style deck.
I was kindly sent 2 tri core fused claptons by, @stevoknevo . But a complex build, probably isn't what I need. Honestly both the vt530 and the Minikin hit as hard, as the mech, with these coils, and all three need at least one pulse to gain temp.
I've only tried one low brochrome build of .15 ohm. But boy can you tell the difference. It's like you're vaping at .12 not .15 ohm. And, finally it hits hard.

Edited A Freudian slip
You need to space those coils to get them in a Kennedy, but you get the benefit of virtually no hotspots when bedding them in (I'll need to pull the wicks out/clean it - forgot all about them as it's out of commission currently/for the foreseeable)

You know, it seemed such a shame for me to butcher such nice coils. But I had considered it. However I've always struggled to get even spacing, when I try it.

You got a coiling jig like a coilmaster? Just overstretch and push back together again, should end up perfectly spaced.

Yeah, I know. But can I get that to happen, nope never. But I'll keep trying.
Lol it's like driving. I passed the advanced driving course. And can reverse traitors caravans and artics.Yet I never mastered parallel parking. I've been known to just get out of a car and leave a passenger to do it.
Oddly my dad, who didn't teach me to drive, had the same problem. Err, parking I mean, not spacing coils.

I hear you but pranging a coil hasn't got the same consequences.

Que double entendre

Just grab it and pull apart on a screwdriver... then push it back

I'm guessing it's the way I wrap. But if I do that, or try pulling a coils apart. I get at least one odd spacing. It's so fffffin frustrating, I can tell you.

Wrap round a screw, instant spacing :)2
Screws tend to be conical. And I haven't got anything, that coarse, in a bolt. But thanks for the tip. Where did all those Two Ronnies style hardware stores go, ehh?

So use a long screw, only tapered at the tip. Never caused an issue when I've used this method before I got the spacing sorted.
