Fogger v2 (I hate it!)

I'd definitely advise cotton. If you really want to use silica, then 3mm is probably too fat. Try 2mm, double it back from the wick slots, and tuck the ends down into the deck. If you're going to use the o-ring, slip it over the chimney as described above - but with cotton, I've built it with and without the o-ring, and it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference. FWIW, I had the exact same problems with the Fogger at first, but after a couple of days and a lot of experimentation, it worked, and worked very well. Perseverance!

Really strange @clint I build mine with 3mm wick and then another piece laid on the top and do not use the "O" ring, I would go as far to say the Fogger is my fave atty at the moment. A couple of things I do when using it, yourself or anybody looking in may or may not know. I close the air adjuster right down when filling up, also after taking three or four gentle draws on it withought firing it up, I then slacken the air adjuster right off and then undo the filler screw, this normaly lets any air lock that is in it come out.

Yeah chrome plated deck does suck but still better then the fogger and half the price.

Just my opinion.

Also according to FT staff you have 3 options

1 send back for full refund or replacement in full ss.

2 5usd gift certificate.

3 replacement ss deck section.

And apparently anyone ordering these after fasttech had been confirmed the deck is chromed brass are being sent full ss taifun.

Just want to say thanks for all your help. And to JustPoo for this video I found:

I've got it set up without the little o ring and with 3mm silica too. Up to now (touch wood) it's vaping great with no flooding in the chamber, no leaking and no dry hits, needless to say that I'm feeling a little less stressed. :)
