Fogger v4 coil issue?

Hey Apes,

So I've bought a black Fogger v4. Looks nice but for me it vapes a bit crap really. A couple of quick microcoils (10 wraps of .20 Kanthal) and they take a dog's age to heat up. On my MVP the 10 second cut out activates before they get really glowing. I've used about a metre of wire with different coil diameters and numbers of wraps and literally ready to bin it.

I really want to get it working as the Kayfun right pissed me off and I might just have to go back to ce4s if it carries on!

Any advice or thoughts?

I'm no expert but if it's any help I've been using 0.28 kanthal and the coils seems to heat up quicker and more evenly with a lower ohmage build.

Kanthal Wire Guide read this, 10 wraps is way over what you need

Thanks for the speedy replies, I'll try less wraps and see how I go on. Still a fairly new ape and really value the advice.

Edit. After reading the Kanthal guide, I'm thinking that about 6 wraps will get me 2.2ohms using .20. So in a dual coil, I half this to get my true resistance?......

as for the kayfun, don't give up i ues tjis guide to build mine, 4/5 wraps comes in at around 1.6 ohms and works a treat

The Kayfun got swapped out today for another Nautilus. Was just sitting there unused...

as a rough guide yes, but test with an ohm's tester first and be sure your batteries are up to it
also an mvp won't fire a sub ohm coil, i think the limit is 1.5 ohms or there a bouts, you need a mech mod

Same sort of issue for me using 0.32 kanthal reading @ 0.8 ohms,coils taking a while to heat up.

actually innokin batteries have a surprisingly high amp limit, i've fired a 0.7ohm coil on both an mvp and an itaste vv. never tried lower so dont know what its bottom limit is.
