Hi, don't think I've ever posted here before and can't find any answers on the net.

To cut a long story short I lost all my vape gear in an accident in May this year ( 3 mods, various tanks, batteries etc) lost my job due to covid so didn't have much money, bought the fuchai glo box mod as it was cheap and I was desperate... went to use it this morning and first it said there was a battery imbalance, swapped batts, same thing, cleaned the mod, checked the pin, charged both sets of batteries in the external charger, batts are from fogstar and not even 2 months old so I doubt it's them, now the mod works but the battery % never goes down now???

I only vape at around 35 Watts these days using an odan tank with their 0.3 coils, is it still safe to use? I certainly don't feel safe using it and for the first time in 7 or 8 years of vaping I don't have a back up.

Thanks for any help!

If it was me i would still use it. Its regulated so don't think you should worry to much ;)

Hi @Arrowmunda . i can see you posted 4 times back in Feb 2018 so you have been here before :)

on the mod. tricky one. as said its regulated so should have protection but i have no idea what could be causing those issues. me personally id refrain from using but saying that i have plenty of kits to fall back on so in your situation id keep using it but for safety id remove the batteries every night just in case as weve heard of various mods vent out of the blue while theve not been touched in hours.

after a quick search and if you can spare £20 then these sigelei mods maybe a good idea as a backup mod (maybe not the glo box) which you can use your tank on https://www.rainbowvapes.co.uk/collections/box-mods

Yes I checked after posting, it's been a while! :)

No choice but to use it for now, the battery is going down slowly and drops now when I press the fire button like some of my older mods used to do. Certainly something wrong with it though as I use it in power mode and now it states power TCR mode, where before it was simply power mode and won't change back, oh well it hasn't blown my face off yet...

I bought it from rainbow vape lol, I'll certainly go for something a bit better in a couple of weeks and to be sure to get a back up and bin this piece of junk!

Thank you both for the help, much appreciated

you really need to change that back to POWER/WATTAGE mode.
TC is temperature control and should only be used with coils that are Ni200 nickel, Ti titanium where as SS stainles steel can be used in power and TC mode.

press fire button 3 times and on screen use up down button to chage to power.

check at 2mins 30sec
