Made a microcoil and wicked with cotton wool on my kraken, juiced in the tank its like a grape juice color, but on the top of the cotton above the coil its gone kinda a green color will upload a pic later, its never happened on my igo w dripper either...

Photo will deffo help... purple/greenn could be mold or juice coming in contact with brass??

You saying that I've got a brass drip tip, im guessing mould is really bad?

As this is my first gennie build, how much 'hair' do I need to leave above the coil?

Depending on how long ago you made the wick I'd guess it's just the heat from the coil underneath it evaporating water from the juice and concentrating whatever gives the juice its colour

I suspect it should, looking at my Kraken clone, and the pic you posted I think that the top of the wick is likely touching the airflow controller, which may just cause an electrolytic reaction when you fire it. That might explain the colour. I would think maybe trimming it to a few millimetres above the coil would help.

Need to purchase a 2mm drill bit actually cos as you can see the coil barely covers the wick hole, can only build nano coils atm, trimmed up top and i can notice a tiny bit the airhole not being covered cheers for the advice

I've had juices turn unusual colours in the past... I had a blue juice which, when vaporised, tended to turn red when it became condensation. Not really sure if it was supposed to be doing that or not, but it seemed fine? It was in my RSST - the wick was certainly not touching anything it shouldn't.

Another question about my kraken anyone have any problems with the screws? I screwed the negative screw down as tight as I could and the wire from the coil has come away from the screw and the negative a screw has loosened...confused.
