Do you know what Triumph don't beat yourself up having a rollie, its not the end of the world, think of all the rollies you haven't had and that deserves a pat on the back in itself. I won't even go into your illness, it sounds grim but, i seems you are dealing with it admirably and i have only respect especially as you have knocked the fags on the head too :D

So heres hoping things go on the up for you, and congrats on all those fags you haven't had matee :D:D :goodjob:

Hehehe you could be onto something there!
A GT6 if I`m not mistaken?, is it a work in progress?
I used to love the way the Triumph let you sit on the tyre whilst working on it - very considerate!! :)

Cheers BfcDanny appreciate it. Yeah, after a small amount beating myself with a bratwurst, I thought, "Wow, 1 fag in 9 days, that`s not so bad!", considering it was never my intention to give up, It just kind of happened, I`m not too disappointed with myself at all.

But yeah, it did taste bluuurrrrggggghhhhhh, can`t imaghine going back to them on a daily basis unless all my vaping gear packs up at once and the posties go on strike!!

Seen better days hasn't it, like us lol.

Let's hope your GT6 sees them again :-) .

I can't ride anymore obviously, but sports bikes was more my scene until I was forced to stop. I still appreciate a classic sports car when I see one though, just don't expect me to identify them correctly  :)

Lol, yeah a gt6. One of those 'offers' I couldn't refuse and a very slow work in progress, its nestling nicely in between all of the other bike, tractor and car projects at the moment. Although it has moved 15' so far this year :) shame I can't fit in it :( I do like it though, enough to get it sorted even if I can't drive it as it is. Its possibly going to return to the daylight as a hillclimb car as then not many people will see me shoehorned in it and also I won't feel so bad modifying the seating arrangements.

Not got any classic sports bikes here, unless you class a '72 cb750k2 or a gpz1000rx as classic sports bikes, doubtful but plenty sporty enough for me :) I'm a chicken these days.

I'll get my back sorted first. My doc has told me to use up the last of the morphine and when I'm writhing in pain and can't walk, to call an ambulance. I have around 30ml left so won't be long. Really looking forward to the next 24hrs. :(

Bloody hell mate, why isn't your g.p. doing more? He could at least adjust the dose and increase your prescription. Keep calling doctors out to your home and ask the to bloody request you be taken onto a ward for observation. You'll probably have to hit them with a stick to get your treatment rolling, but they should be doing more to address your pain. Ggggrrrr.

wow that gp sucks..................back is not something you F about with

An ex biker huh?
we get loads of them round here when the sun peeps out for 5 mins, sounds like a bloody test track most summer Sundays! Last Sunday there were literally hundreds of mods passing through on scooters "hair drying" their way through the village - looked pretty impressive, wouldn't have like to have been behind them with the 30 mirrors hanging off each of 'em!

were you into classic sports bikes or the modern uber rockets? I've only been on the back of one a couple of times and it scared me shitless!

In agreement with the others, you thought about changing docs? Doesn't sound like great medical advice IMHO.

yeah I can't imagine getting in a gt6 with back pain is much fun, with the half lying down half sitting set up. I was always dropping fags in my spitfire, natural instinct is to brake, then groan as it goes rolling along the floor pan under the engine, no way to get the bugger without stopping, getting out the trying to crawl into the footwell.

would make a good hill climb car I imagine, hope you get your backs opted in order that you can see it through........
