Is anyone else aware that Gearbest reset ALL points earned in your account in the past year to zero every march ?

I wasn't, to say I'm pissed off would be bit of an understatement, essentially they just take money (since points are used to buy items) from your account without any prior notification. It's not much don't get me wrong, but that's not the point, it's the principle of taking money away that was earned by the customer from past purchases.

I have been in touch with CS over the last few days, all you get from them is how to earn more points !!

They don't seem able to comprehend that if you take money from peoples account, don't expect to be getting any more money from said people.

Just giving a heads up to anybody else that wasn't aware, I didn't know until they took the points away.

It is only point upto a certain date that get removed all points accrued after the cut off date remain in your points account. I usuallyuse enough points to pay for British express shipping and pay the cost of the item as it is usually cheap enough some orders if i don't mind waiting i will just order and use points to knock the price down. You can only get 30% off any order max using points
my advice is use your points quite often don't try and accumulate tens of pounds

CS stated March in one their replies to me, since others haven't had their points deleted in march , I assume it happens on the anniversary of the account being opened or first used (so last day in march for me), so ALL points are deleted for the past year, even if earned the day before.

I didn't bother spending them at the time because they don't account for much on their own, it was only about 350 so no biggie, but as said its the principle, they done gone robbed me ;)

Most i let my points get to is about £5 or 6 worth then i use them just because i know eventually you lose them, which as you say is wrong. I recently had a Noisy cricket a drip tip and some juggernaut coils which cost me £11 odd. used Belgium post and they where at my door in 10 days. I now have 63p in points which will grow in the next couple of months and then i will use them again.

Didn't see an email before the points were deleted Zarya, but Gearbest do send a lot of other emails advertising stuff I'm not interested in like RC, phones etc so I'm not surprised that I may have missed the email.

Service center has replied to my ticket, so no problems there, other than they just keep telling me how I can earn more points ;) Not gonna happen I'm afraid.

My post was just to make others aware if they didn't know already their points would be deleted.

Mine were only about a fiver, had I known they would have been spent. Anyway spent the remains of the GB wallet on a Pico, and that'll be my last.

now furiously checking fasttech for any 'expiry' dates ;)
(I know gift certs have an expiry, fasttech take the time to let you know on their website)

You say that will be your last from Gearbest. I said the same thing when i purchased a DNA200 with a dead lipo a few months back and had to get paypal to refund me the cost of a new battery. Was it my last time of buying, Hell no the prices are just to good to refuse. The pico plus 1 battery from totally wicked is £45 i can buy 2 pico's and 2 batterys for that off Gearbest.
I do check about 6 or 7 different Chinese vendor for the best prices and use the one with the lowest price. I just can't justify paying more than i have to as that extra money pays for something else i want. The saving you make far outways something that was given to you free which then expires. So keep buying from them and saving a fortune mate.
