To be sure - The answer is don't buy batteries from Ebay - Use only recommended vendors where the originality is sure.

Ebay is awash with fake VTC5's - And they are hard to tell apart.


*EDIT* - on that 2nd ebay link - feedback is there from people declaring them VTC5's fakes !

Torchy is the only ebay vendor I use for batteries !!!

I got some from 'the battery wizard' on eBay, I knew it was gonna be a gamble but thought I'd try them. They aren't vtc5's either, I wouldn't get them again. Best to stick with the Samsung and LG's and if it's eBay get them from ecolux or torchy.

Aside from questions about authenticity, aren't the vtc5's better for people who want to build lower due to the higher amp rating? I thought 25r's were only 'officially' rated at 20a whereas the vtc5 is a 30a battery.
