Getting really f******* sick of this coiling lark

I have now rebuilt the coil in my AGA-S at least 15 times in 3 days, and used 0.2/0.1 x 0.3(I think, its whatever was suggested as the nearest to 0.2)and 0.3,all wound onto some 400 ss mesh.I have used 4 wraps of 0.2 onto ss mesh for the last couple of weeks, using banana juice and had no issues, but this week I got some pineapple juice and I'm having to sit with a screwdriver handy as the resistance insists on jumping around from 0.9 ohms to 3.7+or more.I have added a little piece of silica wick to the end of the mesh in the tank, formed the coil on a drill bit & then slid it over the wick, wound the coil directly on the wick, added a thin "veneer" of cotton under the coil, made several new wicks and tried a different method of coiling it but still, the bastard will work great for 1 or more vapes, then the Vamo won't fire as the fucking resistance has dropped below 1.2 ohms again. The coils (particularly the 0.3 variety) are wound on the drill bit, flamed on the cooker, and carefully pinched in tweezers until it looks like its made out of 2 mm tube, some have even been made like this, then a small screwdriver inserted down the wick & then I take pliers to each end of the coil & then pull the coils hard against the wick but this still results in a few vapes before the screwdriver has to be used to poke the coil. The present coil is 12 wraps of 0.3 kanthal wound onto the drill bit, then slid onto the wick and the resistance varies from 2.4 ohms cold to 1.3 ohms right after a vape.Whilst eating my tea,I did suddenly think that maybe the pineapple juice I'm using is destroying the oxide layers on the wick/coil that prevents conductivity as I've only started having this issue since I changed to the pineapple, but cannot confirm this as the banana was run on a battery box that would fire at any resistance, unlike the Vamo_Once my phones recharged,I'll try and get some pictures of the present coil/wick so you guys can have a look at my handiwork and suggest anything else I can try so I can venture out with my atty & not need change to a clearo with a different flavour.

I am farrrrrrrrrrr from an expert... but I find a few buzzes off an ego can often settle the ohms. Frustrates the hell out of me when the vv/vw limiter kicks in and prevents firing too. And this coming from someone that's religiously stroked coils for hours and hours and hours :D

I'm no expert but do you burn the wick before coiling it? A nice black wick should sort that out. If the wick is dry, this will also mess with the resistance. I now coil the genesis style attys before adding the wick by wrapping around a screw, getting it right before attaching to the atty. I use a nail or something about 2 or 3mm thick to keep it in place while I attach it. Then when the hotspots are sorted, I push the wick through.

Here we golatest coil(9 turns though as 12 was really hardwork to install tidily)

You say the banana was run on a battery box. Has the vamo been used successfully before with the aga-s with either juice?
I ask because my vamo does not like the way I've setup my aga-t 6 turns of 0.25 on the mesh that came with it. Yet it runs fine on my itaste svd. But the ohms reading still jump about.

I've added a bit of ekowool over the mesh and the resistance has settled down. Mines was doing the same, one minute 2.2 and then 0.8. Done a cotton wool wick and it also solved the problem.

Hmmm, due to the wick hole in my atty being somewhat restrictive I doubt I'd get my ss mesh to go in with any sort of diameter increase. Though if it cures the sodding resistance issue,I'll try it later when bright lights won't upset the rest of the familys TV watching. Thanks for another suggestion to try, before I ended up teaching this atty to fly!

The eko wool sits outside the tank, use about 6mm from base to the top of the mesh coil. Also works good with SS Wire.

this is way this happy vaper sticks to silica atties... gennies are a royal pain to get right but once done there all good so I have heard

It took me months to get to the stage where I can whip up a genny. It's all down to practise, making mistakes, trying new approaches and making yet more mistakes. Eventually it starts to pan out - you just need to follow all the advice you can, watch all the videos then forget them and find out what works for you. ;)
