Getting the best from Vapeshell

Dunno Matt, I'm at a loss myself. These things mostly manifest at the beginning of ownership, resulting in busy classified's. The Atmizoo VS only started doing this recently, always the same build never much deviating from what has always worked. The SXK VS's, never missed a beat with similar builds.
The way I build my one, is push the chimney up through the top hole, place the new built bottom half into the boro, line everything up, (and the Atmizoo clicks in well), and push the lot down through the bottom hole. I don't use restrictors or AFC rings but I'm pretty sure the juice just flies out the centre pin hole, well it does, because I've filled the tank and sat it on some kitchen roll to watch it. I just don't know why, all of a sudden.

All is well with todays build, no leaks, good flavour and not much to complain about. I'm starting to think the old coil was complaining and in it's own way telling me to "fit a new coil, ya lazy bastard, been here for three months"....:18:

Have you tried putting it in a different Boro? Perhaps you have a slightly faulty gasket that's not creating a seal?

Changed the bottom 'O' ring, but Boro gaskets are definitely on the radar. I have two spare Boro's and one has a chewed gasket, which was my own fault when filling one of the SXK's.
I think I'll order some, just for peace of mind.
Not changed the Boro's about, no.

Might be worth a shot. Only other thing I can think of is if you haven’t nipped the tails short enough and it’s preventing the VS from sealing properly.

I think you can rescue the gaskets by popping them in the freezer or iced water for a few mins to shrink them back down so they fit.

I did run it under cold water to see if it would help, maybe the freezer is next.
Re. the tails, I'm pretty careful and don't like seeing any excess around the screws.
