OK so I added some flavourings (about 10%) seperately to each 5ml of base 80:20 PG:VG 1.2% nic. Left a few days then tested them using a Smok mini dripper. Problem is I could not taste any flavour (smell yes but weakly).

I think the dripper is the problem cos when I dripped neat flavour I could taste a bit but still v weak. Also some premade juice was v weak in the dripper.

So the question is (which I haven't seen asked before), what's the best way to test/sample small amounts of DIY juice?

Any ideas would really help.

306 dripping atty. It's a prebuilt dripper that only takes a couple of drops of liquid. It's what I use to test mixes and it works really well.

Cloud 9 has them

I think everyone's taste buds are different and manufacturers recommend at the lower end to make their concentrates competitive.

I've never found a concentrate I could use at less than 20%, even where others use 5%. Perhaps your taste buds are as dead as mine.

Oddly enough, I've always been happy with pre-mixed juices.

I test all my juices on my magma rda so I would say that dripping is the best way

Maybe something is up with your choice of hardware, wicking, flavour of juice your making (steeped not steeped) or maybe it is your taste buds so many things could be affecting the results

tonystr are you staying hydrated? Remember vaping dehydrates your mouth...vapers tongue will kill your ability to taste. I use lemonade or energy drinks to wake my tongue up if it goes to sleep, as well as 2-3 lites of water a day

Yeah, smell/taste never my strong point. 306 rare as hen's teeth. Gonna get a Magma to add to my growing collection and try that. I admit the mini atty is crap.

Cheers

UPDATE:

Got an Infinite Magma clone with copper ring, its very nicely built. It really rocks :lovesign: I did a single coil build at 1 ohm vapes great at 30W. A nice warm vape, loads of flavour and vapour.
I wicked it in the 'bowtie' ? style https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yEN-VbXbwk
