Hi,

I've just got a dna30. It works fantastic with my various attis and dripper except for my kayfun. Every time I press the firebutton the screen reads "Check Atomizer". The kayfun is fine, it works on my CTB-S Twist. Its not the positive pin on the base, I've checked it, I've also compared it to my aspire nautilus and it looks identical in all the various dimensions.

I've checked the ohms on my multimeter and its 1.4ohms.

This just makes NO sense and is driving me nuts because I know how much of a better job the dna30 will do with the kayfun!

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi you need to lift the 510 pin with a small screwdriver : )

Check atomiser means no connection or High resistance, check the 510 pin on the Hana is not jammed down, it should be spring loaded on an original if it isnt tyou'll need to adjust it either by turning if its a screw type or by using some kind of narrow tool to lift it carefully if its a set pin.
If youre any good with a soldering Iron you might want to replace it with a decent 510 connector from Modmaker.co.uk

Thanks chaps, oh man the tolerances must be so tight on this, I had given it a look and compared to my twist... I also attempted to take some measurements (although without the required engineer's tools) and it seemed the same... It does not have a screw head on the 510 pin (shame).... I'll see if I can lift it slightly when I get home.

Yes I'm good with a soldering iron, I may be checking out Modmaker.co.uk now, thanks.

Confirmed... I'm at work but it just started reading "Check Atomizer" when I switched to another atti I got that previously worked... I found a small modelling screwdriver and gave the centre a tiny tiny lift.... now it works.

Guess at some point I might be replacing that 510 then. I feel so daft, who'd of thought it would be something so simple.... cheers chaps!
