What's the main reason US vendors won't send to the UK? Is it due to people returning items due to custom charges?

I do have a friend I'm Florida who is looking to visit in August again so hopefully I can get him to bring quite a bit if stuff down for me. Especially a dab and juices

It simply costs too much to ensure they're being shipped secure trackable and they dont want to risk losing out on a sale/refund + shipping costs if a mod doesnt make it.
