What a waste of money the fireworks are

Should of bought £20 worth down Asda, and gave the rest of the money to homeless people or to poor kids.

So much for austerity!!

My youngest son, and I, sat and watched the London fireworks on TV and said pretty much the same thing. A wise head on young shoulders that kid but he's right. What a waste. I wonder how many tens of thousands of pounds they cost. There are plenty of causes that urgently and desperately need that money!

Happy new year everyone! I have to say it was an exciting night, the atmosphere was exhilarating.. I managed to make it past midnight this year.. that said neither of my two sons did nor my wife. I celebrated on my own with a large glass of coke and a custard cream biscuit! How did everyone enjoy their new year celebrations?
