You kinky bugger.
I feel the poll should allow more than once answer. I find myself drawn equally to no and banana. Tough choice.
We booked in Jan. but the gov says we can't take the little un, in her latest lockdown instructions. The won't let us cancel. Apparently the gov letter isn't a good enough reason to cancel the holiday. The doc want £50+, for a letter. But for some reason they want me to say yes, to a charge. But are unable to tell me what that charge is going to be. I'm not the only one, I'm sure. And I understand that the holiday venue is a business. But really?well has anyone taken the plunge to fly abroad
I have done a handy poll with the added control banana answer as per usual
I think planning anything this year is a bit of a risk.
You could book a holiday in Spain in a few weeks time, only to find that infections are rising again, either here and/or there and restrictions are back in place.
We are booking a few days self catering at the end of September.
It is only a few hours drive away.
We could be into the third wave by then. Who knows?
We were thiking of going to Jordan this year ............ it's not going to happen, clearly .............. but half of me thinks it would awesome empty of other people ...........That's why I am pondering on the 5 choices I have at the moment.
Holiday in the UK self catering, fine by me, that's what the OH is thinking.
But what's the difference between say Spain, and the UK, in either place if the rules change you would be fucked in either location.
Also how would I know what is open around the area, if bugger all is open, what a shit time you would have, might as well be at home in that situation.

It's also (yet another) place my mum worked in - she was there when Glubb Pasha was kicked out. Heard a lot about it, want to see it.Nice idea.
Not been there myself, but my next door neighbour (she has moved now, but we still bump into each other in the town) was from Jordan, and it turned out a guy I worked with for years, and still see in a couple of pubs was her father in law.
From what she told me it is a lovely country, and at tea time the smells from her kitchen were wonderful.
If you get the chance, go for it.
