working on a fix for the fasttech caravela, either a paps post (which is the same thread size) or a nut
to make a bit of room I've sanded the bit the battery sits on until the grooves disappear and remove the washer

i think those grroves are just a waste..the only purpose they looked to be doing was in the event of a battery short, and if the short somehow vented to the outside of the battery edge, and if there was nowhere else for them to go, the gases would go into those cutouts and then through the vent hole

basically, I saw that and also thought it was a good idea to try gain some space there...mod on!

best check the carpet then as when i undid mine it went 'sping' and bits went everywhere ;(
